To Make a Short Story Long
Coaches cannot push
I hope you've gotten the message
I'm not exactly the abbreviated type of author
This is not exactly a touch-and-go literary work
This manual couldn't be a tutorial - it tried
So instead, it became a philosophic memoir
The ideas structure into a thought guide for training
This book is either a time saver or a time waster
It depends on your perspective and where you are in your health practice
If you're troubleshooting or learning best practice, there are some great pearls here
It's not a time saver if you want to get fast-trained and get abbreviated summary notes
On the one hand, I haven't exactly taught you how to swim
This isn't exactly me trying to be your 1-2-3 type of instructor
There are many differences between a coach and an instructor
If you haven't learned to swim yet
This is not exactly the reference you're seeking
If you can trust yourself to advance through the early stages
If you want to prepare yourself for what comes next
This book should be a great orientation for you
I'd think you could benefit from my experience
Technical Swim is a rich and very detailed topic
I really can't say it enough about it
The things that come to me
During my swim
Are endless
Are lovely
It seems simple but that's not true - it's anything but simple
You can hurt yourself physically by having the wrong goals
Or pursuing them too much or too little
Without honoring your own body
This memoir is formatted to express
How I do self motivation during each lap
This book is supposed to be easy to digest
Hopefully you weren't in too much of a hurry to miss it
This book loosely reflects the important goals and overview of doing this workout
The overview corresponds with each actual lap which count up from one to forty
There are stories, narrations, memes, kitties, guns and advice about government
Plus the gear is fully explained and so are the swim angels and injuries
Also a bunch of deep Zen swim thoughts on self-sufficiency health
I am not a lifelong competitive swimmer
I don't exactly claim to even know what I'm talking about
Except I do know what I’m talking about, because it all works for me
I do this activity very well after finding it in upper middle age
This is a completely original work for me - I love it - it shows
This is not something paraphrased - it is something I live!
Life is a journey - pick your crew like you’re going on a road trip
I have lived through the goals, problems, injuries and rehab
It has been agonizing at times - plus I changed my body
What was once an grand and detailed idea
About making a huge complex tip sheet
Or gamer notes on the process of life
Has become a smaller version
Of seasonal swim training
30 days in a years
To work toward
This book is not comprehensive but a telling
Of my unique 2-3 years in and out of pools
In and out of injuries - in different gyms
I have forgotten more than some people will ever learn about technical swim
Most was by accident - some of that is no big deal
I have to remember - I've unlocked a lot of injuries
I've had frustrations and stuck pain scenarios
Different improvements were required
To me - to the swim stroke itself
Remembering some of the small things
Is remembering they were not small at the time
No one gets paid for being a good swimmer - do they?
This silly work is supposed to be for my son and family
Like anything - I do I hope it's for more than just me
Becoming a bomb swimmer is a worthwhile thing
Let that be all the reason that’s needed
