Lap Number 35

Slow or Fast

Salt To Taste

It's your workout - You decide -

You will be the one living with the results

During the fifth lap in the five-set
Let's think of ourselves as “pre-approved”

It is in great taste to push exertion at this point, in fact I often do
What I’m able to achieve on this lap should not be underestimated

Lap number 35 is a glorious milestone
It's the completion of the seventh set-of-five
Or the sixth set-of-five if not including warmup

It's the penultimate graduation from this workout
Anything in life that is temporary can be tolerated

After the swim is the hot tub
During cherished hot tub
Many things occur
In a few minutes
But not
Yet

Having done over 70 laps in a single session
Having pushed my capacity like that on a few occasions
Having completed those challenges - I have reinforced
That to me - 35 isn’t as shocking as it once was

I had to work out a lot of things
Before having that response
